Upon completion of the Prep-Year Math 012 course, a student should be able to: Find the equations of lines, and circles and implement their related concepts. Identify the functions and their properties. Perform algebraic operations on real and complex numbers, algebraic expressions, and functions. Solve linear, nonlinear, and absolute value equations and inequalities. Sketch and analyze the graphs of equations and functions in the coordinate plane. Apply the Fundamental Theorem of Algebra and its related theorems. Use one-to-one, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions and identities to simplify and evaluate related expressions. Find the coterminal and reference angles in degrees and radian measures. Sketch and analyze the graphs of functions and their inverses, particularly, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions. Solve exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric, and systems of equations Carry out algebraic operations on vectors and matrices, including inverses and determinants. Determine conic sections’ equations and conclude their properties. Formulate real-life word problems mathematically.
